Meet the Volodymyr and Oksana Perun Family
Artem-Son, Marta-Baby Girl
Hello, we are a family from Ukraine who had to leave behind everything we knew because of the devastating war. Though we lived in a relatively safe area, it was unbearable waiting for rockets to destroy our home, as we anxiously awaited the arrival of our long-hoped-for baby girl.
Sadly, upon reaching America, my pregnancy became threatened. Despite doctors' efforts, our precious daughter was born prematurely at just 29 weeks, weighing only 1195g (2 lb 10.2 oz).
We spent 70 agonizing days in the hospital praying for her fragile life. By God's grace we are now home, though so much uncertainty still lies ahead.
We are eternally grateful to Ann-Marie and Anchor of Hope who helped us tremendously from the very start. Ann-Marie was by our side through this difficult journey, providing essentials for our home and baby, and lifting us up through invaluable prayers.
Their compassion gave us light in our darkest moments. We cannot fully express our thanks for their kindness and generosity when we needed it most. Our hearts are overflowing with gratitude.
